Gee, Linda, what an incredible display of independent thought. I thought we were done, but you remind me why I write. Yes, we also know you hate liberals and Obama. Next time your driving on all the newly paved roads in Warsaw, thank Obama's socialist stimulus.

Sometimes the really savvy observers (LT) in America speak not, but of grouping of people into a scary category by accusing them of being socialist, marxist, communist, fascist, Hitleresque, Heath Ledger Jokeresque, or liar. Linda, you seem to have this labeling thing down. But, you condemn me for hatred.

To feel embarrassment, you have to feel shame, have feelings or show empathy. Which you don't.

The Boston Tea Party was standing up to tyranny after years of neglect. Not standing up to being mad that your candidate didn't win. Now is it? But really, you're represented. You may not like your representative, but you still have a vote and a person that speaks for your district. That's representation, and you have it.

How could the Founders have imagined every possible contingency for the following 200 years?

That socialist interstate highway system Eisenhower built, national highway beautification projects, national parks and wildlife preserves, congressional health care insurance, Social Security, NASA, FDA, Medicare, Federal Reserve or wire tapping. To name a few. Explain where it says those are OK in the Constitution?

When the Founders wrote the nation's Constitution, they specified that "no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States." Article 6, section 3.

Nowhere in the Constitution does it mention religion, except in exclusionary terms. You mean the phrase "year of our Lord"? Seriously? You heard it here first everybody. It's right there in the Constitution. No not in Article I. No not in Article II either. Where? It's right there in the date. And no where else. Please ignore the Bill of Rights.

There is no direct mention of God in the Constitution, except in the formation of the date used in the document, Linda.

I think it's accurate to say that God isn't mentioned anywhere in the constitution, and the convention's decision to write the date of their signing with the traditional phrasing "in the year of our lord" does not contravene the fact that the document is entirely secular. It makes as much sense to claim that the mention of Saturday is a reference to the Roman God Saturn.

The 1796 treaty with Tripoli states that the United States was "in no sense founded on the Christian religion". This treaty was written under the presidency of George Washington and signed under the presidency of John Adams.

"Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion ..." The First Amendment.

The Founders were students of the European enlightenment.

No one is above criticism. Not even you, Linda Torpy.

By the way, I choose to be a Christian.
