Connie S. Austin Loikits, 67, Warsaw, died at 8:20 p.m. July 16, 2013, in her residence.
She was born May 11, 1946, in Paw Paw, Mich., to Volney and Pearl Bridges Austin.
She graduated from Watervliet (Mich.) High School in 1965. She worked in senior staffing at Manpower Placement, St. Joseph, Mich., for more than 20 years, retiring in 2012.
She will be remembered by many for her feisty attitude and direct and candid remarks. She lived life with vigor and determination and faced death with courage and grace. Memories of her will be cherished.
Surviving are her companion, Dee Nuell, Warsaw; her companion’s mother, Iris Nuell, Warsaw; her companion’s sister, Joni Kinder, Warsaw; a son, Ron (and spouse Brenda) Warman, Stevensville, Mich.; two grandsons, Nathan and Alex Warman; a brother,  Ronnie (and spouse Connie) Austin, Hartford, Mich.; two nephews, Casey and Jeffrey Austin; a niece, Christina Austin; a sister-in-law, Judy (and spouse Roy) Stanfar; and a cousin, Joanne Reed. She was preceded in death by her parents and her stepfather, Alden Bridges.
A memorial service will be at a later date.
Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, is in charge of arrangements.
