ROCHESTER – Connie Jean Mikesell, 68, of Rochester, died Dec. 22, 2012, in Visiting Nurse and Hospice House of Fort Wayne. She was born Dec. 11, 1944, in Fulton County, to Clarence “Boyd” and Bernice May Baldwin Henderson. On Sept. 8, 1962, she married Larry Mikesell, who survives. Their 50-year-plus union produced a beautiful daughter, Melissa, and a handsome son, Darrin. Later grandchildren were added to the family tree. While living in Fort Wayne for 32 years, she taught at the Learning Tree and the Crecsent Avenue pre-schools. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church, Fort Wayne. After Larry retired they moved back to Rochester at Lake Manitou. Also surviving are one daughter, Melissa Owsley, Selma; and her children, Dayton, Donica and Donovan; one son, Darrin (and spouse Kyong) Mikesell, Fort Wayne; and their children, Sunni and Skyler; two sisters, Marilyn (and spouse Joe) Varnadore, North Beach, Maryland, and Shirley Farrell Estep, Charleston, W.V.; two brothers, Everett Henderson and companion Sharon Miller, Akron, and Jerry (and spouse Beverly) Henderson, Denver, N.C. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Good Family Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Rochester. Burial will be in Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
