Concerns About Privatization

In the State of Indiana, the passing of HR1002 will be a major step in the Republican pipe dream doctrine, "the privatization of everything public is somehow in the best interest of the public." The terminology alone is a contradiction, much less the actual policy.
What's essentially taking place is the advancement of class warfare on the poor and middle class under the delusional guise of fiscal responsibility in a down economy. The saddest part is the mass hallucination of the slowly disappearing middle class in their support of this radical Republican idealism.
HR1002 is the beginning of the end for any poor child who will struggle for a better life through education. Free education has been a linchpin of what it means to live in the United States, the land of opportunity. Without decent education there is no opportunity.
HR1002 will completely hamper the spirit of community that centers around our schools. Small towns built around elementary schools will falter as these schools are closed and students are subject to redistricting. Classroom sizes will swell as already dwindling resources begin to dry up completely. The quality of education will plummet, and poverty and crime will skyrocket as a result. In the meantime the disparity between the rich and the poor will increase, but only one side of that equation will actually suffer as a result.
Thanks, Mitch, Thanks, statehouse Republicans, for showing us how much you really care. ref: http://www.indystar.com/article/20110208/NEWS05/110208018/Indiana-House-passes-bill-expanding-charter-school
