Basic characteristics of Communism continued:

13. Anti-Freedom - A communist regime would either engage in out-right prohibition of basic human freedoms or severely restrict them to the point of non-existence.

14. Replacing Education with Indoctrination - A communist regime nationalizes the public school, placing them under the centralized control of the national government while outlawing independent alternatives such as church schools, for-profit or non-profit schools, community schools and homeschooling. Genuine education disappears under the massive onslaught of brainwashing into the official party ideology.

15. Militant State Atheism - In sharp contrast to the religious pluralism of our country and the secular neutrality of our government. A radical communist regime actively seeks to eradicate all religions and independent-minded atheism from being openly practiced by anyone at anytime and anywhere in the country that it rules. Replacing them with an official state orthodox faith of atheism and portraying the state and its leaders as divine.

16. False Champion of Democracy and International Peace - Communist regimes routinely proclaim themselves to be champions of political and economic democracy, while in practice they are the most serious proponents of concentrating power and wealth in the hands of a few. Their actual track record in regards to international peace, cooperation and law and order differs greatly from the propaganda broadcast to the non-communist world.

17. The Indivisible Union - Any province, territory, republic, colony or satellite state that is part of a communist country or empire is permanently joined to that country or empire. Any attempts at gaining independence from the central government even for legitimate reasons would be met by war or acts of war.

18. Both an Ally and Enemy of Fascism - Despite communists and fascists being violent natural rivals for power and having a few genuine ideological differences, they are quite similar in beliefs, practices and their willingness to enter into alliances with each other for a variety of reasons, such as to gain political, diplomatic, economic or military advantage, or to position themselves in double-crossing each other, and out of mutual fear and hatred of their common enemy-free societies.

The conclusion to the basic characteristics of communism will follow soon.
