I've been reading these letters submitted to you over time. They've had no effect on me until I started reading a book for school called "The Naked Communist" by W. Cleon Skousen. This book focuses on 45 specific goals to help the Communist party overthrow the American culture. If you would like to see all 45 goals, here is a link to them: http://tinyurl.com/o3cqz
The letters that I am referring to are the letters when people are voicing their opinions on which party is better, what great changes our president has in store for us, or how many things our president has turned upside down in the short time that he has been in office. The people that write these letters represent all of us one way or another, whether we voice our opinions by writing or just sit back and watch.
I say, "We the People" better wake up and, put our differences behind us, and start working together to better our country before it's to late. I've had my wake-up call when I came across the list of goals that the Communist party had in mind to take over the United States. This list was read in front of the House of Representatives in 1963. So you know that our government had a heads up on this infiltration. But somewhere in the past 46 years, our government has become inattentive and put their heads down.
I can't list all 45 goals, but here are a few that opened my eyes:
4. Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war. (Does "Made In China" mean anything to you?)
17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers associations. Put the party line in textbooks. (Has the curriculum been softened in the past forty years?)
24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them "censorship" and a violation of free speech and free press.
25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV. (Sexual content is everywhere.)
26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as "normal, natural, healthy." (None of these things are normal, natural, or healthy.)
28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of "separation of church and state." (Has prayer been eliminated from public schools?)
30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the "common man."
38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand (or treat).
40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.
