This is a follow-up letter to my Dec. 23rd letter that dealt with the subject of basic human freedoms. In that letter I listed three principles/definitions that I developed for the following freedoms: Freedom of Religion, Freedom of Thought & Inquiry and Freedom of Dissent. I can now add a fourth one to that list - Freedom of Communication.
Freedom of communication is the inalienable right of each person, whether alone or with others, to peacefully, openly, freely, and with respect for the right of others, express one's opinions, knowledge or creativity to others through speech, writing, the arts and the various means of mass communication or for one to peacefully, openly, freely and with respect for the rights of others read, view, listen to, respond to or simply ignore the opinions, knowledge or creativity of others and for each person to be free from having acts of punishment for or censorship of such activities inflicted upon them by any part or whole of any local, state, national, continental or world government.
