The County Commissioners first meeting of February Tuesday morning took just 10 minutes.

The commissioners approved an agreement for the county's Web site pending attorney Mike Miner's approval.

Corrections to a Kosciusko Area Bus Service report from January were given to the commissioners.[[In-content Ad]]Miner told the commissioners that an insurance claim had been settled recently.

County Administrator Ron Robinson told the commissioners that offices are being moved around with the county GIS and health department moving inside the old courthouse building.

Area Plan is also planning to change its location inside the old courthouse.

Robinson also presented the county's contract with Verizon Wireless. Robinson said though the county will receive the same level of service, the county will save $2,500 as compared to its 2009 contract.

County Auditor Marsha McSherry said that her office received the 1782 from the Department of Local Government Finance and that it was approved and sent off.

"We're one step closer to having an on-time tax bill," said McSherry.

At the end of the meeting, Commissioner Ron Truex said the process of moving toward a county-wide sewer district is continuing.

Truex said he and others involved are working to "juggle words around to make IDEM and the Lakeland Regional Sewer District's legal representation happy."

Commissioner Bob Conley reminded everyone at Tuesday morning's meeting that another Census meeting will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the old courtroom.
