College Night For Juniors

BOURBON - Triton High School will host a college and financial aid night for juniors and their parents Oct. 29 at 7 p.m. in the library.

This program will provide information to students and parents about the process of selecting, applying and preparing for a college or vocational school that will meet the needs of the student. College costs and how to apply for financial aid to help meet these costs also will be discussed.

Hugh Rettinger, guidance counselor, will provide a listing of scholarship sources. A timeline showing important deadlines also will be presented.

Valerie Hines, First Source Bank, will explain various savings options parents can use to help pay for their student's education beyond high school, including the new Indiana tax credit available for 2007 for parents' participation in the College Choice 529 Investment Plan.[[In-content Ad]]
