Colleen Annette Closson, 59, of 606 E. Clark St., Warsaw, passed away at 10:45 p.m. Jan. 3, 2011, at Mason Health and Rehab, Warsaw.

She was born Oct. 15, 1951, in Warsaw, to Joseph Willard and Eva Jeanette Redinger Hively.

A lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, she retired from the housekeeping department at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.

She will be lovingly remembered by two daughters, Melissa Francis and Jodi (and spouse Eric) Kimball, all of Warsaw; four sons: Troy (and spouse Janice) Byrer and Jonathon (and spouse Sheila) Byrer, all of Warsaw; Roger (and spouse Amanda) Francis, Goshen; and Richard (and spouse Amanda) Byrer, Atwood; 22 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four sisters, Lois (and spouse Dean) Blanton, Rebecca (and spouse Terry) Head and Dixie (and spouse Melvin) Shaw, all of Warsaw, and Sheila (and spouse Bill) Bays, South Whitley; a brother, Joe (and spouse Rosemary) Hively, Longview, Texas; and Stubby Joe, her dog. She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, two brothers and her grandson, Tyler Byrer.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, with the Rev. Doug Vogel officiating.

Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
