CLAYPOOL - SMOKING ORDINANCE

ORDINANCE NO. 11-01-01 AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING SMOKING IN TOWN BUILDINGS WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Claypool has considered the health effects of smoking and has determined it is appropriate for the common good of the residents and the visitors of the Town, to prohibit smoking in Town Buildings. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF CLAYPOOL, INDIANA: Section 1. Smoking shall be prohibited in all buildings owned by the Town of Claypool. Section 2. The penalty for each violation of this ordinance shall be Twenty five dollars ($25.00). In addition to any financial penalty assessed for a violation of this Ordinance, any person who violates this Ordinance is subject to removal from any Town Building so long as that person continues to smoke, or attempts to smoke, therein. Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and due publication as provided by law.
