Claude William Harmon, 86, a lifetime Kosciusko County resident, died Sept. 19, 2007, in Mason Health and Rehab, Warsaw.

He was born June 12, 1921, in Kosciusko County, to Arthur Aaron and Elizabeth Pearl Sutherlin Harmon. On June 12, 1942, in Warsaw, he married Marilyn L. Parker, who died April 30, 2004.

A retired farmer, he drove a bus for Warsaw Community Schools for 35 years and worked at the Indiana State Highway Dept. and Explorer Van. He was a U.S. Army veteran, honorably discharged in 1943. He was a member of New Beginnings Community Church, Atwood, and American Legion Post 49.

Surviving are three sons, Michel (and wife Kathy) Harmon and Terry (and wife Marj) Harmon, all of Warsaw, and Barry (and wife Cheryl) Harmon, Silver Lake; a daughter, Mrs. Bob (Connie) Ward, Warsaw; his companion, Carlyn Cox, Warsaw; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a brother, DeWitt Harmon, a grandson and a great-granddaughter.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Pastor Dennis Bollenbacher officiating. Burial will be in Stony Point Cemetery, Atwood.

Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
