ROCHESTER - Claude "Skip" Jameson Jr., 78, of 7577 N. CR 550E, Rochester, died at 9:34 p.m. May 13, 2007, in Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester, following a sudden illness.

He was born April 21, 1929, in Mishawaka, to Claude and Treva Grundish Jameson. On Feb. 11, 1956, in Rochester, he married Harriet Ann Fultz; they later divorced.

Living in this community for the past 65 years, he was a 1948 Talma High School graduate. He was a union electrician, retiring in 1991, and a member of IBEW Local 668 for 50 years. He was a U.S. Army and Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Talma United Methodist Church; Elks Lodge; Eagles Lodge, Rochester; Mentone Masonic Lodge; Scottish Rite; St. Joseph Valley and Fort Wayne Shrine Club; a 50-year member of the Leroy Shelton American Legion; and a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. An avid golfer, he loved to garden and to fish in Minnesota.

Surviving are a daughter, Mary E. Jameson, Perkasie, Pa.; a son, Charles "Skip" Jameson, Rochester; two grandchildren, Chelsea Louise and Trenton Wesley Jameson, both of Rochester; three nieces: Betsy Gilder, Ohio; Susan Matthews, Texas; and Dana Daake, Rochester; a nephew, David Daake, Rochester; and a brother-in-law, Vitte Rudnickas, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Joanne Jameson; and two sisters, Janice Rudnickas and Sandra Daake.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W. 18th St., Rochester, with Pastor Mike Beezley officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Claypool, with a military graveside service by member of LeRoy Shelton American Legion and Veterans of Foreign War.

Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home.
