NAPPANEE – Clarence “Red” Middaugh, 86, of 402 Maple Lane, Nappanee, died at 7:10 p.m. Nov. 10, 2012,   in Lakeland Loving Care Center, Milford, where he resided for a year.
He was born July 31, 1926, in Bremen, to Noble Clarence and Blanche Balsley Middaugh. On Feb. 18, 1950, he married Bonnie Buss, who died July 19, 2003.
A lifetime Nappanee area resident, he was a graduate of Nappanee High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He retired from Mutschler Brothers,   Nappanee, where he worked for 42 years. He was a member of Nappanee United Methodist Church and a lifetime member of Nappanee American Legion.
Surviving are a daughter, Brenda (and spouse Jeff) Kern, Syracuse; two sons, Brian and Jeff (and spouse Stephanie) Middaugh, all of Nappanee; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth (and spouse Pat) Middaugh, Nappanee; and a sister, Mary (and spouse Max) Truex, Wakarusa. He was preceded in death by a sister.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Nappanee United Methodist Church by the Rev. Linda Craig officiating. Burial will be in South Union Cemetery with military graveside services by members of Nappanee American Legion.
Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, and one  hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church.
