Clarence J. Schue, 88, passed away at 6:52 p.m. April 27, 2016,  in his Warsaw home.
He was born May 24, 1927, in Chicago, to Clarence Sr. and Beatrice Hendrixson Schue. On Dec. 22, 1951, in Warsaw, he married Julia Durham, who survives in Warsaw. They were married 64 years.
He is a graduate of Lane Technical High School, Chicago. Immediately after graduating high school, he joined the U.S. Navy where he served with the Pacific Fleet. His two-year tour of duty included battles in Philippines, Japan, China and Australia.
He was employed by Armstrong Engineers, L.M. Berry and retired from Sun Metal Products after 20 years. He was a 69-year member of Warsaw American Legion Post 49 and a member of First United Methodist Church. He loved puzzles, gardening and traveling and spending winters in Phoenix, Ariz.
Also surviving are a son, Ken (and spouse Laura) Schue, Warsaw; a granddaughter, Amanda (and spouse Bret) Walters, Warsaw; three grandsons: Jeremy, Joel and Jared Schue, all of Ohio; and two great-grandchildren, Delaney and Cooper Walters, Warsaw. He was preceded in death by a son, Phillip Schue; a daughter, Lori Schue; and a brother, Dennis R. Schue.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with Pastor Scott Carmer, First United Methodist Church, Warsaw, officiating. Military Graveside Honors will be conducted by American Legion Post 49 and VFW Post 1126, both of Warsaw.
Calling is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw.
