ROCHESTER - Clarence A. Tignor, 73, of 515 Northgate, Rochester, and formerly of Akron, died at 6:20 p.m. April 11, 2008, in Seton Speciality Hospital, Lafayette.

He was born Sept. 3, 1934, in Wise County, Va., to Charles Henry and Kelly Elizabeth Spears Tignor. On March 13, 1976, he married Lena Bollick, who died in 2001. On July 13, 2002, in Rochester, he married Betty Davisson Sutton, who survives.

He worked at Pike Lumber Co., Akron, for more than 20 years and retired from Quality Hardwoods, North Manchester.

Also surviving are a son, Johnny (and spouse Angela) Tignor, Winona Lake; a grandchild; his mother, Kelly Elizabeth Tignor, Big Stone Gap, Va.; three stepsons, Randy (and spouse Chris) Sutton and Rick Sutton, both of Rochester, and Jeff (and spouse Elaine) Sutton, Fulton; four step-grandchildren; and two sisters, Martha (and spouse Dellis) Boggs, Lebanon, and Mae Jeanette Higer, Big Stone Gap. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, with the Rev. Bob Brown officiating. Burial will be in Akron Cemetery.

Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
