She was born Sept. 30, 1948, in Chicago, Ill. to David Omar and Lois Marie Timm Marquardt. On July 4, 1969, she married Larry James Bennett, who survives in Warsaw.
She was a loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and best friend. She was a 1967 graduate of Wanatah High School. She worked in the shipping department for Zimmer Inc. of Warsaw and retired in 2011 after 35 years of service. She made many great friends, and loved her job.
She loved to collect dogs, doing genealogy and working in her garden for the past 50 years. She very much enjoyed going to car shows, swap meets, flea markets, and auctions…but most of all she loved to spend time with her granddaughters.
She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Fender (and spouse Angie) Bennett, Warsaw; two granddaughters, Haliee and Dayna Bennett, Warsaw; two sisters, Darlene Marquardt, Allegan, Mich., and Glenna (and spouse Jake) Rinkenberger, Congerville, Ill.; and her brother, David (and spouse Terri) Marquardt Jr., Knox. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, with Bruce Bennett officiating. Burial is in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw,
Calling is from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
