BOURBON - Chester W. Miller, 79, of Elkhart, passed away of natural causes at 3:55 p.m. Jan. 17, 2011, in St. Joseph Medical Center, South Bend.

He was born May 18, 1931, in Bourbon, to Ralph and Ruth Felter Miller. On May 12, 1951, he married Joyce McIntyre, who survives.

He graduated from Bourbon High School in 1949. He enjoyed old cars, motorcycles, tractors, airplanes and most anything with a motor or that was mechanical. He was a retired tool and die maker, spending years with Bendix Corp. and other manufacturing companies.

Also surviving are three children, Roger Miller, Niles, Mich., and Debra (and spouse Michael) Troyer and Cathy Kmitta, all of Elkhart; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Thompson, Bremen; and a brother, Leslie (and spouse Diane) Miller, Kodak, Tenn. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Accaria.

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon, IN 46504.

Calling is from 2 p.m. until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
