There will also be an exhibit by Eric Strader pottery. Strader is also known at the “Kalamabrew Potter” and the man who makes Bell Brewery’s Inc. drinkware. He produces handthrown, high-fired pottery with lead-free glazes. the pottery is made of durable stoneware clay and may be used in the conventional oven, microwave oven and dishwasher.
Music is provided by Kevin Pierkarsky Jazz, sponsored by Kosciusko County Community Foundation. Piekarski has been assistant principal bass with the Fort Wayne Philharmonic since 1983.
He has played with jazz/pop performers, including Gene Bertoncini, Steve Allen, Mel Torme, Roy Clarke, Debbie Boone, Toni Tennile, Maureen McGovern, Diahann Carroll, Andrea Marcovivvi, Rich Ridenour, Anne Hampton Calloway, Michael Feinstein, Linda Eder, Jeff Tyzik, Wayne Brady and Bernadette Peters.
Upcoming events include Art Blast! June 28, sponsored by Creative Fish Art Gallery/Artzie Workshop, Fort Wayne Philharmonic Patriotic Pops Concert and Children’s Art Experience; and Flotilla Road Race, July 4.
Chautauqua Week is July 7-11, which features arts, education, lectures and entertainment.
