NORTH MANCHESTER - Charles T. "Tom" Wilson, 61, of North Manchester, died at 2:15 a.m. Sept. 7, 2009, in his residence.

He was born Oct. 21, 1947, in Wabash, to Owen and Peggy Vantrease Wilson. On Aug. 29, 1969, he married Cheryl A. Shambaugh, who survives.

He was a salesman for Moorman Manufacturing Co., Quincy, Ill., for 30 years, then Kerlin Motor Co., Silver Lake, retiring in 2009. He was a U.S. Marine veteran, serving in Vietnam. He attended Congregational Christian Church, North Manchester, and was a 1965 graduate of Southwood High School.

Surviving are a son, Jeremiah T. (and spouse Angela) Wilson, Fort Wayne; two daughters, Jennifer C. (and spouse Joseph) Deal, Fort Wayne, and Amanda A. Wilson, Nashville, Tenn.; a brother, James (and spouse Karen) Wilson, Urbana; a sister, Sylvia (and spouse Robert) Sriver, Wabash; and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, with Pastors J.P. Freeman and David Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Laketon Cemetery.

Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
