NORTH MANCHESTER – Charles T. Butrin, 93, of North Manchester, died at 10:04 a.m. March 15, 2012, in Peabody Healthcare Center, North Manchester.

He was born Nov. 21, 1918, in Canton, Ohio, to  George and Sofia Avram Buturian. On July 6, 1946, he married Virginia Ogburn, who died July 5, 2009.

He was a retired Baptist minister and professor of Biblical studies at Faith Baptist Bible College, Des Moines, Iowa, and Grand Rapids (Mich.) School of Bible & Music. He was a member of First Brethren Church, North Manchester.

Surviving are two daughters, Beverly McCoy, Winona Lake, and Patti Dolan, Kentwood, Mich.; a brother, John Buturain, Cincinnati, Ohio; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Grand Rapids, Mich. A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. March 31 at First Brethen Church, North Manchester, with Pastor Ron Burns officiating. 

No calling is planned.
