He was born Sept. 6, 1930, in New York, N.Y. On Aug. 3, 1985, in Tucson, Ariz., he married Aubrey Wolfe Spreull, who survives.
He worked in the grocery business in different areas. He graduated from high school in the Bronx in 1948. He belonged to the Elks Lodge in Arizona and was a member of Beaver Dam United Methodist Church.
Also surviving are a son, John; and a daughter, Susan.
No public services or calling are planned at this time.
Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 W. Rochester St., Akron, is in charge of arrangements.
