Charles Leonard Raber, 88, died at 5:30 p.m. June 2, 2011, in his daughter’s residence in Mishawaka.
He was born Feb. 27, 1923, in Silver Lake, to Charles H. and Mina Leonard Raber. On Nov. 4, 1950, in Leesburg, he married Louise Stookey, who died July 29, 2005.
He entered the U.S. Army Jan. 30, 1943, served in World War II  and was honorably discharged. He lived most of his life in Kosciusko County until moving to Mishawaka in 1993. He owned Leonard Supply Co., Silver Lake, for 46 years, retiring in 1993. He was a member of Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church and Warsaw Masonic Lodge 74 F&AM.
Surviving are a daughter, Linda (and spouse Rick) Wallace, Mishawaka; eight grandchildren; and 12-great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by two sons, Douglas Raber, who died May 19, 2003, and Ronald Raber, who died Jan. 14, 2010.
A graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Lake, with military graveside honors by American Legion Post 49 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1126, and with the Revs. Charles Ashman and Tim Wright officiating.
Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, is in charge of arrangements.
