He was born March 25, 1934, in Kewanna, to Franklin Charles Sr. and Delia Lenora Lambert Greer. On Sept. 27, 1952, in Knox, he married Patty S. Stingley, who survives.
He was a truck driver, worked for General Electric, Fort Wayne, for more than 30 years and was a fireman for the Pennsylvania Railroad. He was a member of the Mentone Flying Club and was special deputy for Fulton County Sheriff's Dept.
Also surviving are a son, Don Greer, Peru; a daughter, Kathy (and spouse Mike) Minns, Peru; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Carol Sheetz, Rochester, and Connie (and spouse Bruce) Killingbeck, Remus, Mich. He was preceded in death by a brother.
His remains have been bequeathed to Indiana University School of Medicine.
