Oakwood Cemetery Board of Regents held its monthly meeting Thursday night.

Cemetery Sexton Hal Heagy said there were 19 burials in June, 16 lots sold and the board signed six deeds.

Heagy said the street department is working on laying the new ground in the cemetery, and Phend & Brown Excavating will do the final pour on the road and complete the work.

The rod iron fencing rail has been painted in the cemetery, as well as the cemetery’s back gate.

There are five lots left in Cremation Garden and Heagy said the cemetery is seeking quotes for a new Cremation Garden.
