Archie and Pat Caudill, Silver Lake, marked their 60th wedding anniversary Sept. 4, 2008. Archie Jr. Caudill and Pat Smith were married Sept. 4, 1948, in the Lutheran Church, North Manchester, with the Rev. Homer Ogle officiating.

He retired from Zimmer in 1990 and still works part-time, and she is a homemaker.

The couple have four children: Cris (and spouse Adam) Grey, North Webster; Doug (and spouse Renee) Caudill, Beaver Dam Lake; Tony (and spouse Laurie) Caudill, Silver Lake; and the late Tom Caudill. They have nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and two step-great-grandchildren.

The couple celebrated the anniversary with a family dinner.[[In-content Ad]]

A data center won’t be coming to the Leesburg area anytime soon. By a 3-0 vote Tuesday, the Kosciusko County Commissioners upheld the Area Plan Commission’s 8-0 recommendation to deny rezoning over 500 acres from agricultural to industrial-3. The property is on the north side of CR 700N, west of CR 300W, in Prairie and Jefferson townships.
