The organization met its goal of $110,000, resulting in an increase from prior years and included more than $45,000 in in-kind donations and services.
Funds raised will be used to support CASA operations and its mission of recruiting and training Court Appointed Special Advocates.
They provide services for abused and neglected children entangled in the court system throughout Kosciusko County.
“Without the help and generosity of incredible individuals, organizations, and companies, this year’s event would not have been such a huge success,” said Audrey Beckman, CASA board president.
CASA would specifically like to acknowledge Biomet for serving as the event’s Presenting Platinum Sponsor whose contributions surpassed expectation.
In addition to Biomet’s financial support, in-kind services were also provided by Biomet Aviation, Biomet Communications, and Biomet Corporate IT.
CASA is also grateful for the financial and in-kind support of Zimmer and DePuy who each served as Gold Sponsors.
Other financial sponsors included Paragon Medical, Intru-med, Lake City Bank, Orange Door Dental Group, PNC Bank, Silveus Insurance Group, Tower Bank, Wildman Business Group, Anderson Lawn Care, Lewis Salvage Corp., OrthoPediatrics, Altrusa Club, Ms. Audrey Beckman, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Dobson, Pizza Hut of Fort Wayne, Louis Dreyfus Commodities, Optimists, Symmetry Medical, Mr. and Mrs. Steven Ritchey, Metzger Trucking Co., Mr. and Mrs. Wil Boren, Kosciusko Community Hospital, Specialty Tool Inc., the Grossnickle Foundation, Medtronic, and Mr. and Mrs. Greg Sasso.
At this year’s event, 500 guests were invited to enjoy a variety of food, wine, and beer which was donated by local chefs, restaurants, and beverage distributors resulting in an in-kind donation of more than $20,000 in product.
CASA is grateful to Service Liquors, Inc., who was responsible for coordinating all wine and beer distribution for the event.
Service Liquors Inc. also committed to donating an additional 10 percent of wine and beer sales to CASA up to a week following the event. Their participation was essential in providing the tasting experience ticket holders were expecting.
Wine and beer donors included Glazier Distributors, In Vie Wines, Monarch Beverage Company, Southern Wine & Spirits of Indiana, Vino Lefebvre, Indiana Wholesale Wines & Liquors, Cavalier Distributing, Five Star Distributing, and Nelson Beverage.
Participating restaurants and food vendors were also invaluable in creating an optimal experience for attendees.

CASA was also delighted to find that many new local food providers were eager to join the event for the first time.
