Joe and Debbie Carter, Crawfordsville, announce the engagement of their daughter, Chelsea Joann Carter, Crawfordsville, to Marc Patrick Roberts, Syracuse. He is the son of Jon and Betty Jo Roberts.

The bride-to-be is a technical writer at ABG Inc., an agricultural consulting firm in Indianapolis. She is a 2002 graduate of Southmont Hich School, Crawfordsville, and received a bachelor's degree in agricultural journalism from Purdue University, West Lafayette. She was a member of Sigma Alpha sorority.

The groom-elect is a soil conservationist at the Natural Resource and Conservation Service, Knox. He is a 2003 graduate of Wawasee High School, Syracuse. He received a bachelor's degree in agronomy from Purdue University, West Lafayette. He was a member of Delta Theta Sigma fraternity.

The couple plan a Sept. 8 wedding at Woodland Heights Church, Crawfordsville.[[In-content Ad]]
