I took this from a Facebook feed, just information for us to think about: I read it and forgot most of it already, that's old age for you.

For anyone confused by all this information, these two points are well to remember:
1.) Ben Carson's tax plan ends the taxation of Social Security benefits (i.e., that money does not get counted as tax liability even if they have other income sources)
2.) The first $36,000 for a family of four (or the first $18,000 for a family of two, etc.) is not taxed at all. What is taxed is all income above that amount at a flat rate of 14.9 percent.
