Carolyn Miller, 72, of Claypool, died at 6:15 a.m. April 24, 2008, in her residence.

She was born March 25, 1936, in Claypool, to I.C. and Hazel Marie Newcomer Tillman.

A lifetime Kosciusko County resident, she was a 1954 Burket High School graduate and retired from Dalton Foundries in 1993. She was a member of Touch of Life Church, Warsaw, and member and union steward of the United Steel Workers Union. She loved working with various charities and to travel.

Surviving are five sons: Nathaniel Miller and Luther "Luke" Miller Jr., Claypool; Timothy Miller, Warsaw; Frank Miller, Columbia City; and Marcius Miller, North Manchester; three daughters: Marsha Cleveland and Carol Vick, both of Warsaw, and Juli Miller, Silver Lake; a brother, Bob (and spouse Sue) Tillman, Claypool; a sister, Vonda (and spouse Claude) Ousley, Columbia City; 19 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Richard Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery.

Calling is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
