Connie Kay Carmichael and Ryan David Kates were married Sept. 4, 2010, at Olive Branch Church of God, Roann, by Jim Cooper.

The bride's parents are Dan and Debbie Carmichael, Lyons. The groom's parents are John and Paulette Kates, Akron.

Maid of honor was Paulina Ballesteros.

Bridesmaids were Mandy Kates, Holly Barnard, Sarah Veatch, Cyrstal Bryant, Ashley Metzger and Ashley Shafer.

The flower girl was Emma Flenar.

Best man was Adam Fackler.

Groomsmen were Matt Flenar, Ben Thompson, Andrew Heckaman, Corey Willhoite, Jake Conn, Justin Hohman and Mark Grossman.

Ring bearer was Noah England.

Ushers were Brody Mullen, Kyle Fricke, Tim Benningfield, JR Gibbs.

The reception was at Akron Community Center.

The bride is a sample management specialist at Tandem Labs, Salt Lake City, Utah. She graduated from White River Valley High School, Switz City, in 2004, and eanred a bachelor's degree in biology from Western Kentucky University in 2009.

The groom is a project engineer at Ames Construction, Salt Lake City. He graduated from Tippecanoe Valley High School, Akron, 2003, and earned a construction management degree from Indiana State University, Terre Haute, in 2008.

Their wedding trip will be a cruise scheduled for mid February.

The couple reside in Salt Lake City, Utah.
