He was born May 9, 1926, in Monterey, Mexico, to Pedro Castro and Julia Salinas. He married Andrea Vasquez, who survives in Warsaw.
He was in production for more than 20 years, retiring in 1991 from Maple Leaf Farms, Milford. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Warsaw.
Also surviving are eight sons: Santos (and spouse Carol) Castro, LaPorte, Texas; Hector (and spouse Celeste) Rodriguez, Monterey, Mexico; Jorge (and spouse Maria) Castro, Milford; Adam Castro, Pasadena, Texas; Hector (and spouse Rosa) Castro, Warsaw; Pedro (and spouse Laura) Castro, Elkhart; and Ramiro (and spouse Bobbie) Castro, Claypool; six daughters: Betty (and spouse Richard) Wilson, Milford; Elizabeth Castro, Margarita Adame, Gloria Martinez, Amelia (and spouse Pedro Lopez) Castro, all of Warsaw; Julie (and spouse Danny) Manges, Claypool; two brothers, Ismael (and spouse Letty) and Juan Castro, both of Mexico; 57 grandchildren; and 53 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Reynaldo Castro; three brothers, Roberto, Henaro and Enrigue Castro; a grandchild, Michael Wilson; and three great-grandchildren, Angelica, Victor and Isaiah Castro.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Father Paul Bueter officiating. Burial will be in Milford Cemetery.
