Carl McKinley Jr., 79, died at 4:10 p.m. March 5, 2010, in The Meadows, Warsaw.

He was born July 25, 1930, in Muncie, to Carl and Kathryn Kitchen McKinley.

He was a retired tool and die maker. He resided in Pierceton for the past several years and was a former Yorktown resident. He attended school at Muncie Central.

Surviving are four sons: Steve McKinley, Columbia City; Jack (and spouse Michelle) McKinley, Leesburg; Jim (and spouse Michelle) McKinley, Syracuse; Daniel (and spouse Kelly) McKinley, Groveport, Ohio; a daughter, Melissa Sherril, Indianapolis; a sister, Carolyn Hofherr, Yorktown; a brother, Stan (and spouse Linda) McKinley, Lafayette; a special friend, Nicole Marsillett, Warsaw; and several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Joseph McKinley; and a brother-in-law, Tom Hofherr.

No calling is planned.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hawk Cemetery, Yorktown, with Rev. Phillip Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Hawk Cemetery, Yorktown.
