NORTH MANCHESTER - Carl D. Harlan Sr., 84, of Liberty Mills, died at 5:20 p.m. Oct. 30, 2010, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.

He was born June 26, 1926, in Nappanee, to Warren F. and Gertrude Moyer Harlan. On June 3, 1950, he married Leona G. Runnels, who died Nov. 18, 1999.

He retired from Whitley Manufacturing Co., South Whitley, in 1988, after 10 years of service. He was a World War II Army veteran.

Surviving are three sons: Carl D. Harlan Jr., Donald E. (and spouse Connie) Harlan and Warren E. (and spouse Patricia) Harlan, all of North Manchester; a brother, Charles Harlan; a sister, Alice Jordan, Niles, Mich.; 10 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a brother.

Services will be at noon Wednesday at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, with Pastor Gregory Bradford officiating. Burial will be in Swank Cemetery, North Manchester.

Calling is from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
