Carl C. "Chris" Voges, 58, of 2617 W. Union St., Claypool, died at 8:20 p.m. Oct. 6, 2008, in his residence.

He was born Sept. 14, 1950, in Springfield, Ill., to Carl B. and Alice Jacobson Voges. On June 6, 1970, he married Betty McKinnon, who survives.

Living in Warsaw for 19 years, he was a machinist at Zimmer Corp., Warsaw, retiring after 19 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of Warsaw Wesleyan Church and American Legion Post 49, Warsaw.

Also surviving are two daughters, Christy (and spouse John) Maull and Gina (and spouse Travis) Rogers, all of Warsaw; four grandchildren; two sisters, Kathy (and spouse Doug) Beahringer, Springfield, Ill., and Lori (and spouse Tom) Zimmerman, Loami, Ill.; and two brothers, Mike Voges, Springfield, and John (and spouse Debbie) Voges, Goreville, Ill.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw, with the Revs. Gale Janofski and Andrew Weaver officiating, and with military rites by members of Army Honor Guard, South Bend. Burial will be in Arlington (Va.) National Cemetery.

Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
