Cancer Fund-Raiser

A committee currently is working to organize the second annual Indiana University Cancer Research Classic. This year's event, a luncheon and 18-hole golf scramble, is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. June 25 at South Shore Golf Course, Syracuse. The event will include a raffle for donated prizes, including autographed sports memorabilia items from Purdue, Notre Dame and IU. Hole-in-one prizes will include a car from Petro's GM Showplace. Cost to enter is $100 per person and different levels of sponsorship are available. Last year the innaugural event raised $5,000, which was divided between IU and the local cancer society.
