Cancer Care Fundraiser Planned At Oakwood Resort

SYRACUSE – The Cancer Care Fund of Kosciusko County announced the kick-off to its fundraising year with a Red Carpet Spring and Summer Fashion Show at the Oakwood Resort in Syracuse.  
According to a press release from the Cancer Care Fund committee, on April 25, after a walk up the red carpet and photos before entering the Oakwood Event Center, guests will be treated to a show where local retailers will be presenting “The Life, The Love, The Passion of Fashion” on the runway,  featuring the newest designer collections, shopping events and vendor exhibits.  Many of the stores will have trunk shows for those interested in purchasing on site.
Some of the local stores participating include Satori Boutiquem North Webster; J Three Salon, Warsaw and Syracuse; Glam Boutique, Warsaw; Matilda Jane Clothing, Warsaw; The Lake House, Winona Lake; Warsaw Carson’s; Kay Rose Collection; Elysian; Bliss Boutique, Syracuse; Tippecanoe Lake Country Club, Leesburg; Stonehenge Country Club, Winona Lake; The Bailey R. Moore Foundation; Bart’s Watersports, North Webster; Sunrise Photography, North Webster; and Thaddeus DuBois Designs, North Webster.
The evening begins at 5:30 p.m. and will offer three separate runway show presentations. There will be food available and a cash bar.  There will also be a VIP section for sponsors and guests purchasing exclusive runway tables. At the conclusion of the Fashion Show, Plaxton and the Void, winners of the Judges Choice Award at last year’s CCF Battle of the Bands, will perform.
The Cancer Care Fund is a volunteer organization, raising funds to financially assist cancer patients and their families with expenses directly related to their diagnosis.  The CCF is dedicated to reducing the financial challenges facing them, with 100 percent of all net funds raised disbursed in Kosciusko County and administered by the K21 Health Foundation with no administrative fees, according to the organization.
