Jim and Karen Byrer, Bremen, announce the engagement of their daughter, Lisa Michele Byrer, to Shawn Lee Sauer. He is the son of Tim and Donna Sauer, Warsaw.

The bride-to-be is a 1997 graduate of Bremen High School. She received an associate's degree in business from Bethel College in 2000.

The groom-elect is a 1998 graduate of Whitko High School, South Whitley. He is employed as an engineer with Norfolk/Southern Railroad.
