Melinda Butler, Post Falls, Idaho, and Gary and Connie Butler, Goshen, announce the engagement of their daughter, Ami Butler, Millersburg, to Rich O'Brien. He is the son of Tom and Sally O'Brien, Ligonier.

The bride-to-be is the vice president and chief financial officer at O'Brien Associates, Millersburg. She attended West Noble High School, Ligonier, and Bethany Christian High School, Goshen, graduating in 1994. She attended Goshen College and Bethel College, Mishawaka, where she studied organizational management.

The groom-elect is the president of O'Brien Associates, Millersburg. He is a 1991 graduate of West Noble High School and received a degree in construction management from Vincennes University.
