Students at Pierceton Elementary School learned about bus safety from their bus drivers during National School Bus Safety Week Oct. 18-22. The theme this year is 'Cross in View - It's the Right Thing to Do'. Bus drivers Mary Burelison, Diana Bauer and Lucy VanHoozen demonstrated for the children how to cross safely in front of the bus. They also discussed other aspects of bus safety. The students in kindergarten through third grade participated in a class bus safety poster contest. Students in fourth and fifth grade participated in a bus safety essay contest.[[In-content Ad]]
