Burnis D. Conley, 73, of Sanford, Fla., died at 10:30 p.m. March 17, 2008, in Central Florida Hospital, Sanford, Fla.

He was born Nov. 5, 1934, in Lackey, Ky., to Green and Jayhazie Minnix Conley. On March 11, 2006, in Altamonte Springs, Fla., he married Gloria Odom Wood.

He was an electrician at R.R. Donnelley & Sons Co. from March 1962 until retirement Feb. 1, 1993. Formerly of Warsaw, he lived in Frostproof, Fla., for six years before moving to Sanford, where he lived for 2-1/2 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran, honorably discharged Dec. 1, 1962. He was a member of Moose Club, Orlando, Fla., and American Legion, Winter Haven, Fla.

Surviving are a son, Scott (and spouse Melissa) Conley, Grafton, Wis.; a daughter, Amy (and spouse Dave) Elliott, Atwood; two sisters, Fannie Beeman, Indianapolis, and Georgia Krichbaum, Warsaw; four brothers: Bob Conley, Gary; Coye Conley, McAlester, Okla.; Wilbur Conley, Mousie, Ky.; and Ed Conley, Warsaw; a stepson, Russell C. (and spouse Bari) Wood, Scarsdale, N.Y.; a stepdaughter, Jennifer Lynne (and spouse Troy) Ingersoll, Fort Pierce, Fla.; six grandchildren: Amanda, Ashley, Morgan, Krystyn, Benjamin and Emily; a great-grandchild to be born in May; and four step-grandchildren, Isaac, Anastasia, Seth and Ava. He was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery Conley, who died March 20, 2003; a sister, Anna O'Keefe, who died July 11, 2006; and two brothers, Anthony "Tony" Conley, who died Nov. 9, 2003, and Barkley "Bart" Conley, Dec. 30, 2007.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with the Rev. Andrew Weaver, of Warsaw Wesleyan Church, officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.

Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
