Mr. and Mrs. Brian Bruemleve, Roanoke, announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Rae Bruemleve, Roanoke, to Ronnie Lee Black, Roanoke. He is the son of Mrs. Esther Black, Syracuse.

The bride is a part-time waitress at Nick's Junction, Roanoke. She is a 2002 graduate of Huntington North High School and currently is pursuing a bachelor's degree in criminal justice through Indiana State University's online program.

The groom-elect is a ramp leader for Kitty Hawn Cargo, Fort Wayne. He is a 2000 graduate of Wawasee High Schoo, Syracuse, and attended Ivy Tech State College, Warsaw.
