Samie Brown and the former Beverly Salyer were married March 18, 1960, at Gospel Hill Church of God, Silver Lake.
Samie is retired from the Warsaw City Police Department. Beverly worked at Marsh Supermarket.
They have two children, Deborah Newman and Teresa (and spouse Chuck) Lisenbee; and a grandson.
The couple celebrated with dinner with the family. They plan a trip at a later date.
