He retired from NIPSCO and she retired from Zimmer Inc.
They have three children: James (and spouse Teri) Brown, North Webster; David (and spouse Tami) Brown, Warsaw; and Shelley (and spouse Pete) Brown, Florida; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A surprise party was held by the couple's family members in honor of their 50 years together June 13 at 505 Brookside Drive.
