The three-day event was held at the Chateau Resort in the Pocono Mountains, where Bronson was joined by his wife Lisa and was selected to open the awards ceremony with a prayer.
Along with the induction, Bronson was also asked to put on a Martial Arts fitness seminar, an honor only asked of the most accomplished Grand Masters around the world.
His latest induction into the hall of fame was for “Lifetime Achievement Award.”
The award was given for his sanctioned competitive fighting record of 213-2 between 1978 and 1985 – a record that still stands as the best in United States history.
Bronson dedicated the award to Christ, his wife, sister-in-law (Cindy), five step children (Jeremiah, Erica, Lewis, Eli and Rebecca Bennington), son (Isaac), deceased father, mother and brother (Sam, Lois and Randy), Christ’s Covenant Church in Warsaw, close friends (Dr. Mark Soto, Bob Solliday, Tom Brady and Dennis Lambson) and his business partners at Relentless Martial Arts Academy and Fitness Center (David and Rachel Sumpter and Brandon Hunter).
Bronson’s first induction into the hall of fame was in 2008.
The initial induction was for the “Golden Lifetime Achievement Award” for being an undefeated, five-time United States Full Contact Karate champion and for being involved in the Martial Arts for 48 years. During those 48 years, Bronson had earned a 7th Degree Grand Master Black Belt in Golden Dragon Ryu Kempo-Jutsu, 6th Degree Black Belt in Golden Dragon Ryu (Oikiru-Ryu) Ju-Jutsu, 6th Degree Black Belt in Taiho-Ryu Karate, 4th Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Kobu-Jutsu (weaponry).
In 2009, Bronson was inducted for a second time, this time for “Most Outstanding Contribution to the Martial Arts”.
The award was based on Bronson being the Undefeated World Middleweight Full-Contact Karate Champion from 1982 to 1985 and the Undefeated World Middleweight Kickboxing Champion, also from 1982 to 1985.
Bronson retired undefeated from professional fighting on Oct. 26, 1985, having held duel world titles.
Personally, Bronson was promoted to 8th Degree Grand Master Black Belt in the ancient Martial Art: Golden Dragon Bugei Kan Ryu Kempo-Jutsu by the International Alliance Board of Directors on July 20. Bronson was also given the coveted title of “Shihan” Master Instructor and is an international Yudansha Kai Grand Master Black Belt licensed instructor.
Bronson’s life story is currently being made into a book and movie.
Over the past year, he’s been to Hollywood four times with his management team, transcribing the details of his life.
However, work production on these projects is currently on hold while Bronson prepares to undergo chemotherapy and radiation treatments for Hepatitis-C Geno Type 1A and liver disease.
Bronson currently teaches Martial Arts, personal fitness training and nutrition at Relentless Martial Arts Academy and Fitness Center, located at 524 E. Market Street in Warsaw.[[In-content Ad]]
