AKRON – Brittany N. Arceneaux, 13, of Akron, passed away with her father in an automobile accident in Wabash County Dec. 21, 2012. She was born March 25, 1999, in Rochester, to J. LeeRoy Arceneaux, and Tina Montague Alspaugh. She was an eighth grader at Tippecanoe Valley Middle School. She was in the Tippecanoe Valley Middle School Band where she played the flute. She liked to draw and was a very artistic person. She also liked to go swimming in the summer. She loved all kinds of animals, especially her cat. She loved doing hair and makeup for any of her friends who would visit. Surviving are her mother Tina (and spouse Tim) Alspaugh; two brothers, Derek Arceneaux, who is serving in the U.S. Air Force, and Tyler Arceneaux, Akron; maternal grandmother, Judy Montague, Akron; paternal grandmother, Rosabelle Arceneaux, Rayne, Lou.; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and step-grandparents, Guy and Nancy Alspaugh, Warsaw. She was preceded in death by a maternal grandmother, Gene Montague, who died on March 27, 2009, and a paternal grandfather, Herbie Arceneaux. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 W. Rochester St., Akron, with Pastor Terry Canfield officiating. Burial will be in Akron Cemetery.
