Sara Marie Boyer and Jerad Charles Crooks were married April 12, 2008, at Crest Manor Church of the Brethren, South Bend, with Tim Seevers officiating. The bride is the daughter of Kevin and Ruth Boyer, Bourbon, the groom's parents are Jeff and Martha Crooks, Angola.

Matron of honor was Lindsey McIntyre, Bourbon. Bridesmaids were Sarah Besser, Elkhart; Cassandra McIntyre, Mishawaka; Kirby Jasper and Megan Friesen, both of Indianapolis; and Melissa Ray, Claypool. Flower girl was Anna McIntyre, Bourbon.

Best man was Brian Crooks, Fort Wayne. Groomsmen were Daniel Grill, Indianapolis; Collin Brown, Wilmington, N.C.; Zach Woolever, Wheatfield; Pete Norris, Fort Wayne; and Dave Gaskill, Goshen. Ushers were Steven Boyer and Kevin Boyer, both of Bourbon. Ring bearer was Trey Firestone, Fort Wayne.

A reception was held at Christo's Banquet Center, Plymouth.

The bride is a registered nurse at Castle Medical Center, Kailua, Hawaii. She is a 2002 graduate of Triton High School and received a bachelor's degree in biology from Manchester in 2006. She received a bachelor's degree in nursing from Indiana University South Bend in 2007.

The groom is a second lieutenent in the United States Marine Corps at Marine Corps Base Hawaii. He is a 2001 graduate of Angola High School and received a bachelor's degree in general studies from Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne in 2006.
