About 26 residents of the Grace Village retirement complex were entertained by members of Boy Scout Troop 715 March 9. Fourteen Scouts set up a small campsite with a tent, a tripod with a cooking pot, a tripod holding a mess kit, canteen and a U.S. flag. There was an artificial campfire with camp stools around it. Scoutmaster Dick McCleary introduced the Troop's Senior Patrol, Chase Madsen, who led the audience in the Pledge of Allegiance. Scouts Grayden Dunham, Andrew Frush, Meraley Fugate, Ryan Harris, Jacob Hawn, Connor Joy, Parker Kelley, Dillon King, Chase Madsen, Jeffrey Miller, Joel Robertson, Frank Sexton, Eagle Scout Kole Smith and Sean Stabler each addressed the audience with their name, rank, the number of merit badges they had earned and told about their favorite experience in scouting. The Scouts had a knot-tying contest by showing who were the fastest in tying a square knot behind their back. A DVD was shown from last summer’s trip to the Grand Canyon. At the end the Scouts handed out homemade cookies that they had made.[[In-content Ad]]
