By Staff Report-

A 6-year-old boy has been banned from entering Marsh Supermarket after he allegedly shoplifted $23.94 worth of fireworks Monday.

According to a Warsaw Police Department report, the boy came into the store about 1:50 p.m. carrying a Marsh bag. He put the fireworks into the bag and left, but was brought back in by an employee who witnessed the act.

Police talked to the boy, who was unable to provide his address, but said he could show them where he lived.

The boy's mother came to Marsh before police left with him and she said she was looking for her son, who apparently left the house while she was napping.

Marsh declined to press charges against the boy on the condition that he does not return to the store.
