Board members secured gifts and sponsorships from area businesses including memberships to Anytime Fitness, Warsaw Fitness and Tennis Club and Giverny Fitness Studio as prizes for the event.
Steve Holbrook kept the bowlers on their toes with games and Olympic trivia.
Sponsors for this year’s event were major title sponsor Creighton Brothers, as well as Symmetry Medical, Warsaw AutoPlex, D&D Maintenance, NAPA, People Link Staffing, Purity Gas, Kosciusko REMC, Paragon Medical, Maple Leaf Farms, Louis Dreyfus Commodities, Zolman Farms/TranzStar, KCH, Biomet, Teacher’s Credit Union, Dilling Group, Iconacy Inc., Kerlin  Motors, Geiger Trenchless Solutions, Tower Bank, Lake City Bank, DJ Construction and Lakeside Chevrolet.
Participating teams came from Symmetry Medical, Paragon Medical, Zimmer, Biomet, RR Donnelley, Louis Dreyfus, TranzStar, TCU, Lake City Bank, Iconacy Inc., Kohl’s, KREMC, Warsaw Community High School girls bowling team and People Link Staffing.
The top fundraiser was Aubrey Rife and her team from TranzStar. The team raised $1,000 for the Junior Achievement programs in the community.
“In these difficult financial times there exists the greatest need to understand such issues as personal finance, economics and workforce readiness. We must prepare our young people to meet the challenges ahead,” said Fred Hite, board president and chief financial officer of Symmetry Medical. “This can not be accomplished without the generosity and support of the school system, businesses and community as well. The children in school today will someday lead our city, state and nation. I would also like to thank the tremendous support we had from board members Bill and Kay Kelly, Karen Francis, Jennifer Orr, Lori Tilden, Jeremy Mullins, Dean Trippiedi, Brad Chauncey, Karen Mayer, Elizabeth Mobarak, Steve Holbrook, Mike Miller, Ryan Weaver, Jamie Gift and Tom Allen.”
Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana was incorporated in 1952. It is now one of the largest operations in the country. This year, Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana will reach more than 100,000 students across a 25-county area and in Warsaw and Tippecanoe Valley more than 4,200 students will benefit from the many JA programs.
